Dr. Queen and his office staff have been a breath of fresh air for me and my family. I am unfortunately a rather sick person so I spend a lot of time in doctor’s offices (urgent care, PCP, and specialists). However, in this case it was my little 6 yo who was the patient with Dr. Queen. I have never experienced a staff so friendly and accommodating or an office quite so comfortable down to every last detail. The waiting room and hallways have a VERY warm and homey feeling. Even the bathroom was decorated for warmth and hominess. It’s clear A LOT of thought went into how to make people comfortable while waiting. Dr. Queen plays TV shows on his TV instead of medical advertising, there is complimentary coffee and water bottles, a small off set kid friendly room (we use this frequently), AND when Dr Queen’s wait times are excessive (it happens) his staff hands out SNACKS to those waiting. I’ve NEVER had a doctor’s office do that. The snacks were a warming and thoughtful detail for me as all 3 of my kiddos are typically at the appointments. It’s also VERY clear his staff loves working there. They are all so happy and friendly. It’s obviously a great working environment.
In addition to the physical environment of the office, Dr Queen himself is amazing. He was so kind and listened to all of my concerns (instead of brushing it off like 3-4 previous doctors had done), did a thorough examination of my son, confirmed my suspicions, and came up with a multi-step plan of action. He has an additional staff member in the office with him taking notes so he’s not tied to the computer while visiting with a patient. He’s able to be fully focused on the one in the chair. Dr. Queen is always SO patient with my other children too (who are NOT patients). He even answers THEIR questions and entertains their requests for the flavored tongue depressors. This may not even seem like a big deal, but Dr. Queen has the BEST toys in his treasure chest for the kids. As a mom of 3, this additional detail makes my life so much easier in the midst of the stress of a sick kiddo. It makes it so my bub (and my other two) are EXCITED to goto the doctor, no matter how long the wait is, because they get an AWESOME toy at the end. And yes, Dr. Queen always allows my 2 non-patient kids to choose a prize too.
We LOVE Dr. Queen and will continue going to him for ALL ENT and allergy related ailments. I will also be recommending him to anyone who will listen. Thank you SO much Dr. Queen and staff! You all have forged a special place in my heart in this time of stress<3
